Lisa Hepworth speaking on stage in orange dress

Her Story

She didn't choose the hard season. She chose what to do with it.

Meet Lisa

A speaker who speaks from the scar, not the wound.

Lisa Hepworth is a speaker, writer, and consultant who has built her message from the inside out. She knows what it feels like to stand in the middle of a life you didn't plan for—and she knows what it takes to choose forward anyway.

Her signature message, Still, I CHOOSE, resonates not because it offers easy answers, but because it offers something rarer: honest company in the hard places.

Her experiences have also shaped the way she understands people, relationships, and the difficult situations we sometimes find ourselves navigating together.

"People leave feeling activated to move forward — accessing strength in real, raw moments and choosing who they want to become."

The Journey

How "Still, I CHOOSE" became a message.

The Beginning

A life that looked like the plan

Lisa grew up believing that if you worked hard, loved well, and did your best to be kind and a good honest person, life would cooperate. For a while it appeared to be true. She got married, built a family, served others and got involved in her community. She had a quiet confidence that she had things figured out.

The Unraveling

The season she never asked for

Then everything changed. In a span of years that felt like a single long exhale, Lisa faced loss, upheaval, and the kind of grief that doesn't announce itself — it just moves in. She found herself in a life she didn't recognize, asking questions she didn't have answers to.

The Choice

"Still, I CHOOSE" was born

It wasn't a moment of triumph. It was a decision to keep choosing forward, even before she knew what came next. Not because the pain was gone, but because she refused to let it be the last word. What followed were years of rollercoaster living, often unsure how she was still standing. But that decision, made over and over again through the hard seasons, became the message she carries today.

Today

Speaking what she's lived

Lisa has always been the one to notice the one — the person alone in the room, the kid no one else wanted to work with. From a young age, she had a gift for finding people others overlooked, and she never stopped. A new friend might come from the grocery store, a school pickup line, or a chance encounter. Many found their way to her through others who knew her story and felt she could help. Now older — and she says, much wiser — she felt a pull to take that same gift further. She wants to bring her message to much larger groups of people: not as someone who has it all together, but as someone who has learned what to do when you don't.

What She Believes

The convictions behind the message.

Honesty over polish

Lisa doesn't pretend. She shows up as she is — scars, humor, and all. That honesty creates room for others to be real, too.

Hope that costs something

Easy optimism doesn't help anyone. Lisa offers hope that has been tested, questioned, and chosen anyway.

Progress, not perfection

The goal was never to arrive. It's to keep moving — even slowly, even imperfectly, even on the hard days.

Hard things are not automatically good—but we can still choose what we do with what remains.
